EIQ2 provides the functionality to simplify and bulk process some of the development / maintenance tasks, currently managed against the EIQ2 front-end application. This additional functionality allows for global changes, where-in corrective tasks can be applied quickly and to more than one object. i.e.: changing the timings for multiple SQL agent jobs in one visit, and without the need for changing them individually. The following master EIQ2 import excel files are held in the “\\SSIS\IMPORT_EXPORT\” folder.
Shifting the burden of handling common and repetitive tasks from the user, EIQ2 leverages smart technology to optimise and intelligently accelerate performance.
When you open one of the master EIQ2 import files, you need to first refresh the excel with latest data from the EIQ2 SQL server environment: “Data > Refresh All”
Each column of the master EIQ2 import excel files, has a data validation rule and where applicable – a drop down list of valid entries. If a drop down list is not available, then the field itself is either “For Information Purposes Only” or a “Free Text” entry
Having made changes to the master EIQ2 import excel file and saved it – open SQL server management studio and run the following SQL agent scheduler: “ETL Sourced Import Export xlsx Data to Landing Pad”. The SQL agent job processes all-available excel files against the “\\SSIS\Import_Export\” folder and sets requested changes to a queue system. The queued system is managed by the SQL agent task: “ETL Queue Jobs”
